Governor McAuliffe Announces Administration Appointments


RICHMOND – Governor Terry McAuliffe announced additional appointments to his Administration today. The appointees will join McAuliffe’s Administration focused on finding common ground with members of both parties on issues that will build a new Virginia economy and create more jobs across the Commonwealth.


Office of the Governor

Jake D. Rubenstein, Special Assistant to the Governor 
Jake D. Rubenstein has been appointed to the position of Special Assistant to the Governor. Prior to his appointment, Jake served as Confidential Assistant and Executive Aide to the Attorney General of Virginia, Mark R. Herring. Jake is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Pittsburgh.

Connor Andrews, Policy Assistant
Connor Andrews has been appointed to the position of Policy Assistant. Connor has interned in the Office of the Secretary of Education and previously served as a 2016 Governor’s Fellow. Connor graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Government, and received his Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.
