For 28 years, The Women's Centers hosted a conference that connects 800 women at this inspirational event focused on leadership for women, where speakers share insights and wisdom gained from their personal experience.
Over 240 speakers have participated in our conferences, including: Honorable Madeleine Albright; Sheila Bair; Carly Fiorina; Dr. Dorothy Height; Shelia Johnson; Senator Mary Landrieu; Dr. Susan Love; Jane Pauley; Linda Rabbitt; and Dr. Teresa Sullivan.
One of the Nation's Capital's best conferences for women, this event helps to complement, promote and support The Women's Center's year round counseling, education and resources for women and families, including reduced fee and no charge services for those without health insurance or the ability to pay.
The one day event for visionary women who want to discover the tools for success, make strategic business connections and leave feeling empowered and inspired to take action.

The Women in Leadership & Philanthropy conference highlights the powerful, life-changing work of U.Va. Students, faculty, alumnae and friends. It also includes a luncheon honoring the 2013 University of Virginia Distinguished Alumna Award recipient presented by conference partner, the U.Va. Women's Center.
The Annual HIGHER Ground Women's Leadership Conference provides high-quality education and networking opportunities for women from across the Commonwealth. Our one day, multi-track format offers a self-directed facilitated learning environment with education sessions and interactive forums. Key features of our conference include: opening plenary session highlighting timely issues of importance to women, panel discussions, concurrent morning and afternoon workshops and seminars, and keynote speakers of regional and national prominence. The conference is brought to a close with a networking event. Continuing Education Units (CEU) are available for full participation in this event.
This one day event celebrates who you are as a woman in all aspects of your life. The conference will provide you a tremendous opportunity to grow, develop, and learn with practical solutions for success at home and at work. Guided by The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute, with presentations from regionally and nationally known workshop leaders, participants will explore the latest and innovative practices in leadership excellence.
